HUNDREDS of mourners are expected at a memorial service to remember former Stoke-on-Trent South MP Lord Jack Ashley.
His daughter Caroline Ashley has organised a celebration of his life at a venue in central London next month.
She is now inviting people from Stoke-on-Trent who worked with her father during his time in time in politics to attend.
Mrs Ashley, a mother-of-three, said: “Numbers are limited, but we are hoping to welcome all kinds of people who worked with Jack at different times in his life.”
Lord Ashley, the country’s first deaf MP, who represented the constituency for 26 years, died at the age of 89 on Friday, April 20.
The memorial service will take place on Monday, July 2 at 12 noon.
